SLAYER To Perform On 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!'; 'Die-Hard' Fans Needed

January 9, 2007

Los Angeles thrash titans SLAYER will appear on ABC-TV's "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" on Friday, January 19. According to a MySpace bulletin, SLAYER is looking for "die-hard" fans to be part of the "Kimmel" mini-concert. The band will play between three and five songs (including their Grammy-nominated track "Eyes of the Insane") for the lucky fans (NOTE: only one song will actually be aired).

If you are interested in seeing SLAYER in person and being a part of the "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" audience, go to www.1iota.com to request tickets.

The rules are as follows:

* You must be at least 16 years old.
* You must be available on Friday, January 19 between 7:15 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.
* You MUST have a valid photo ID
* Please do not wear white, light blue, beige or logos as they do not come across well on camera
* Please do not bring large handbags or knapsacks
* No cameras or recording devices

"Jimmy Kimmel Live!" airs at 12:05 a.m. ET and PT/11:05 p.m. CT on ABC-TV.

As previously reported, SLAYER will embark on an Australian/New Zealand tour in April. Support at the shows will come from MASTODON.

American Recordings has pushed back the projected release date of the "Unholy Alliance" CD+DVD package to February 27, 2007 from the previously announced February 13, 2007. Filmed on July 13, 2006 at Vancouver's 18,000-seat General Motors Place, "Unholy Alliance" features performance footage from SLAYER, LAMB OF GOD, MASTODON, CHILDREN OF BODOM and THINE EYES BLEED. DVD bonuses include backstage footage and band interviews.

SLAYER's "Christ Illusion" album, which debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard chart, has sold 146,000 copies in the United States since its Aug. 8 release, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
